PCI Memory Controller and SM Bus Controller Drivers. Drivers that shouldn't be there if I should be installing the ones for my speciific motherboard.
Under 'Device Manager' there is a device called 'PCI Memory Controller' that has a yellow sign on it. During normal investigation it says that there is no driver installed, I let windows 7 try to find a driver for me automatically and it asked me to download 'Intel Turbo Memory' from intel site. I tried to install this driver and it tells me that I need a newer version of windows. I thought that windows 7 was the newest version, obviuosly Intel doesn't think so, or maybe they know something that the rest of us don't.....
I have tried to install the driver under compatability mode for both Win XP and Vista, no joy. Is there a fix for this?? Computer specs are as follows: Toshiba Satellite X205-S9349 Intel Centrino Core 2 Duo 1.8GHz (T7100) 4GB DDR 667 500GB Sata 120GB Sata nVidia GeForce 8700M GT 256MB Dedicated 17' TruBrite 1440x900dpi Thanking you all in advance for any and all solutions to this problem, it is the only one I have for this computer, everything else is working as per normal. [Troubleshooting] Asus Z170-A PCI Memory Controller driver / SM Bus Controller missing drivers
Hi,
I have done my Skylake build, its fairly simple, no optical drive. So i installed Windows 10 64-bit using USB. As expected there were a few missing drivers, this was resolved by downloading from http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Z170-A/HelpDesk_Download/
However, even after installing all the chipset, usb controller, LAN, audio, SATA, i am still missing 2 drivers for
